In reading up on Stellar Road they seem to have been road warriors the last couple of years playing anywhere and everywhere in order to build an audience and get money to record their first album. The tracks that they have on their MySpace are pretty good, they are produced and slick, almost to the point of being overproduced. I would really like to see a live track mixed in there to see how they play on stage.
“Breathe” and “Fade Away” are their most played and strongest tracks. The beginning of “Fade Away” reminds me a lot of “Grey Street” by Dave Matthews Band for some reason, which isn’t a bad thing. Their songs are melodic and poppy, I don’t know if I would classify them as a jam band at all but they play a solid acoustic type of rock.
