A Primer On: moe.
moe.
How would one describe moe.:
During an interview, guitarist Al Schnier was asked to describe moe. for those who have never heard their music: “It’s an amalgamation of a wide variety of the history of rock, all regurgitated and recycled through the eyes, ears, hands, whatever of the guys in our band and all of that with a sense of adventure, a sense of humor, also a constant desire to push the envelope. All in this arena of taking chances, improvising live, and making things up on the spot.”

If you only have time to listen to one track listen to: As I sing here
This band has a pretty big local following in Southern California. A three piece unit that has a pretty good sound, I found most of their songs enjoyable on their page. Personally I didn’t think they stood out at all in comparison to a lot of the other bands I listen to but I didn’t think that they were bad or anything. Basically they would be a good band to see in a bar but …read more

Archive.org Download of the Week- Ben Lee
This week’s show is a performance by Australian singer songwriter Ben Lee, aka the guy that was sleeping with Claire Danes for awhile.
Lee was another musician I discovered through WBER while in high school, they played the ever living hell out of his single “Cigarettes Will Kill You”, which isn’t a bad thing in the least. A true road warrior, Lee has toured the world over and continues to put out quality albums with deft lyrics, catchy riffs, and an overall enjoyable demeanor.
This show was from his Knitting Factory Appearance in June of 2004 and features a wide sampling of …read more
