In short, the Samples are reminiscent of every single band that probably got banned from Seattle in the early 1990’s. None, the recording quality of the songs are pretty poor. I have to say their setup was interesting, it was basically R & B with a jam band type of sound with it. But interesting doesn’t necessarily mean good. I am not a big fan of “awwwwww yeah” type R & B, well except for R. Kelly but “Trapped in the Closet” is awesome for it’s own reasons.

A Reggae band with some Jam Band undertones, John Brown’s Body was voted the best live act at the 2002 Boston Music Awards. While they lost their lead singer in 2006, when he left the band, they have continued to tour and have an eclectic 8 piece band that puts on an interesting live show.
