If you only have time to listen to one track listen to: That’s How Strong My Love Is
Being the blunt and honest person I am when I see Reggae and Dub listed with a bunch of white boys playing it the first thing I think about it that it is going to be a really crappy Sublime type sound. When I came across Roots of Creation’s page I had to admit that was the preconceived notion I had of them before even listening to one of their songs.
But when I listened to them my opinion changed, while I would classify them as kind of “frat boy”-ish, their sound was enjoyable and worth the listen. “6am” and “That’s How Strong My Love Is” are the only two songs that would load on their profile, but they were both rather enjoyable. They reminded me of a mix of Sublime and O.A.R. in the styling of the songs.
