Jam Band News

In my search for different articles to write about sometimes I come across something that truly cracks me up.
While this blog post is informative, on some level, about dealing with the police in Tennessee on the way to and from Bonnaroo, it is still unintentionally funny on a lot of levels. Every Tuesday I plan on picking a band on MySpace.com that is registered as a Jam Band, in the indie or unsigned category and reviewing the songs they have on their site.
I figure this is a good way to maybe find some diamonds in the rough, as well as giving a forum for everyone to sound off on. For each band I will provide the relevant info on page so you can go and listen. Milwaukee announced their Summerfest Lineup for this year. Thursday July 5th seems to be Jam Band Night with Bob Weir and Ratdog, Umphrey’s McGee, Keller Williams, Donna the Buffalo, and Rusted Root all playing on the same night and some on different stages competing against each other.
To me that is a bit odd to have a lot of the same band competing over a lot of the same audience, especially when the other stages have such different acts. The other acts performing on the other stages that night are is Bon Jovi, Sevendust, and BB King…
