Camp Creek
The Camp Creek Festival takes place at the Indian Lookout Country Club, in Mariaville, NY, their official website can be found here. Every year I have friends that attend Camp Creek and they swear it is one of the best festivals going, a lot of the time it looks like a show designed more for the geriatric hippie set, but looking at this years lineup is anything but.

One of the bands that really peaked my interest when looking at the lineup was Yonder Mountain String Band, it wasn’t the first time I heard the name. These guys have been touring like madman over the last four years, reaching their 1000th show together last month. Their sound is very different using a banjo, base, mandolin, and guitar lineup, they have shows available at archive.org, which I recommend checking out.

Hey, Camp Creek sounds very cool — I’d go. It is sort of far away though seeing how I’m in the NW. But still, thanks for recommending the yonder fellows — they look cool from a first glimpse at their site.
